This workshop will provide an overview of three evidence-based practices for promoting recovery and reducing recidivism among persons who are formerly incarcerated: Moral Reconation Therapy, Seeking Safety, and SOAR (SSI/SSDI Outreach Access and Recovery). The research supporting these models, basic principles, adaptability to different settings, training and implementation issues will be discussed.
1. Describe the basic tenets of and discuss research evidence supporting Moral Reconation Therapy;
2. Describe the basic tenets of and discuss the research evidence supporting Seeking Safety;
3. Describe the basic tenets of and discuss the research evidence supporting SOAR.
